Actually i was using this algorithm and got stuck with the fact that in the parameters what is meant by the hop length in samples ??
So i would be grateful if someone can demonstrate the hop length.. Thanks
The hop length indicates the distance in time between two adjacent blocks. Let’s say you have a block length of 1024 and a hop length of 512. Then the first block will include 1024 samples starting at sample 0, the second block will include 1024 samples starting from sample 512 and so on. A different way to define this would be via the overlap (ratio).
Thanks a lot! If i need any other clarifications i would like to ask you again on it!! Thanks a lot for your help on both the issues ..
You are welcome. You can also always buy the book…
Can u Suggest some book for our project??
Well, you do realize that this webpage is for my book? If you are looking for books on speech processing, you should check out the classics by Rabiner.
